There are many different components within baseball that all need to work together to create the product that we see on the field. Every game in the Major and Minor Leagues is a collaborative effort between departments such as Baseball Operations, Player Development, Scouting, R&D, and more. Each one of these areas involves a unique skill set in order to be successful.
This led us to create a user-friendly platform for accessing educational content to help you take your skillset to the next level, called Baseball Connect Launch.
With so many moving parts, attempting to learn about all of the different topics within the game can seem overwhelming. We wanted to take the same approach that MLB organizations do, and divide our content into different departments, which we call “Tracks”.
Tracks Explained
Tracks are our system for organizing videos and blogs related to a specific area of the game. Separating this out serves to make everything more organized for you, the viewer, and improves the rate at which you can strengthen your skills.
Here’s an example of how you might interact with Baseball Connect Launch. Say you want to work for an MLB team, and you’re looking to learn more about how a front office operates. Once you’re on our website, head on over to the Baseball Connect Launch page, here you will see all of our tracks, simply click on the Baseball Operations Track! Once you click on it, you’ll see our customized video tree that takes you through resources that cover topics ranging from player valuation to the inner workings of the MLB draft.
